The last meeting between Arsenal and City was in February at the Emirates. We had five different players score (Odegaard, Partey, MLS, Havertz, Nwaneri) while Haaland got their only goal.

Stuart Attwell will officiate today’s match after a two year absence from Arsenal fixtures. His most recent Arsenal match was when we played Newcastle away in August 2023. He allowed their goal to stand after a 5-minute VAR review that checked fouls in the build-up, offside, and whether the ball went over the end line. Arteta’s post-game comments nearly earned him a suspension, and the controversy over the goal lasted weeks. At the end of the season, we came up two points short of Liverpool.
Attwell has given Arsenal 42 yellows in 20 matches and City 25 yellows in 16 matches. He was notably the center official when we played City on New Year’s day 2022, sending off Big Gabi for a foul against Gabriel Jesus.
